Each Add-On Kit consists of ten 1/2 lb patented FlexMetal® weights

The FlexMetal® weights are designed to fit into the internal pockets of the Uni-Vest Long or Shorty. The standard Uni-Vest Weight Vest Shorty adjusts from 2 lbs up to 10 lbs. Increase the weight of this vest up to 15 or 20 lbs by adding 1 or 2 optional Add-On Kits respectively. The standard Uni-Vest Weight Vest Heavy adjusts from 2 lbs up to 20 lbs. It can accomodate up to 4 optional Add-On Kits for a total vest weight of 40 lbs.

The benefits of FlexMetal® technology

FlexMetal® is a patented process combining rubber like material and iron or other elements to create a high density, relatively small and flat flexible weight. FlexMetal® rectangular vest weights weigh 1/2 lbs. each. This thin weight with a large surface area "sticks" inside the pocket of the vest so the weight will not move from even the most vigorous activity. The flexible nature of FlexMetal® means that each weight can bend and contour to the user's body to form the most synergistic fit possible.

In short, FlexMetal® provides a superior fit compared to vests utilzing steel shot, sand or steel bars for weight.
